I'm standing outside, brushing my teeth. Around me one or two girls, observing carefully in order to find out whether they'll be able to assist me in any way. Taking my toothpaste in serious consideration, earrings, facewash, and still they go deeper. Deeper in the vastness of my bag and they find it. IT.

Uhm, still having my mouth full of toothpaste, I don't know what to reply.

I put it back into my bag. The girl wanders of, at least that's what i thought. I continued to brush when about 7-8 girls return. This time she came prepared. She brought some of the elder girls.. again: sister what is this?

I'm thinking. Hard. Should I take it away? No, no more hush ups, the society has too much of it already.
It is a tampon, when you have your period. You know once a month... the word month exceeds my language skills by far, but one of the elder girls has understood. She is thrilled.. she can't stop laughing, and wants to explain at the same time. This one moment of general awkwardness takes ages, their look goes from the tampon, to my lower stomach part, tampon to lower stomach part and we all start to laugh.

I take the plastic wrapper off and give it to the bravest one in the group. Slowly her fingers start to squeeze. She has the object under her control now. More girls assemble. She makes movements inserting the tampon into a giant...

And I do. The tampon is being passed on in the group, but only a couple actually dare to touch it. It is given back to me and I put it in the bin. Stares from the bin, to my lower stomach part. The adventure is over.
