UBIQE, as a derivation, means "everywhere". Design is everywhere and it is for everyone. We, as people, design our relationships, habits, products and spaces very carefully: sometimes to enjoy and survive, and to create the new, at other times to gain or remain in power. I write and design to progress and connect. In design I join your journey!

- A. M. Homes - The selection of thoughts and emotions that she is willing to work with in her novels and stories - as disturbing as some of them are - make me calm and hopeful that we all might be approaching humanity.

- A. L. Kennedy - She is a genius using the dynamics of perspectives! Best European writer I think! And she is progressing really fast ... http://www.a-l-kennedy.co.uk

- The Rumble in the Jungle - The magic fight 'Muhammad Ali vs George Foreman', produced by Don King in Kinshasa, October 1974. It happened in a huge stadium with 100.000 spectators that were said to be mostly Ali-Fans due to his extroverted personality, his political talent and his positivity. George Foreman, a huge bulk of a fighter had a very intense aura of invincibility around himself and the spectators and everybody around Ali looked almost speechless or paralized, because they were scared their daring Muhammad Ali would be destroyed forever in that one night. He came back after a long break forced on him by the US Gov. for refusing to take part in the Vietnam War and he could win back the title or lose everything. Ali, on top of his talent and training, fought down George Foreman mostly with his creativity and his overwhelming will to be 'The Greatest Fighter of all Times'. He 'talked' him down for eight rounds, he leaned himself back into the ropes to let Foreman fight off most of his power and tire him beyond any control over his legs and finally he got him with a clear punch and the fight was over. I watched the fight on a DVD a few years ago without blinking my eyes or taking a breath. I am amazed at what confidence and pure will can do to one's body and mind!
- Airbus A 380 - No need for words here.
- Portrait of a Marriage - BBC's movie after the biography by Vita Sackville-West and her son Nigel Nicolson. I am fascinated by Vita's idea and attempt to be true to both, the friendship to her husband Harold Nicolson and to her own right to obsessively love and lust after her all-time girlfriend Violet Trefusis. It is a wild attempt! And Janet McTeer is a fabulous Vita!
